Connecting Etropo to LinkedIn Ads

With the integration between Etropo and LinkedIn Ads, you can automatically fetch your advertising spend data, having all your actual marketing spend in a single place.

Setup

1. Go to Integrations Tab , click “Connect” on the LinkedIn Ads card
2. Authorize access to your LinkedIn Ads account
3. Click on “More actions” menu on the LinkedIn Ads integration
4. In the “Connected accounts” tab choose LinkedIn Ads account you want to connect to Etropo
5. In the “Synced Line Items” tab create mappings between your LinkedIn Ads accounts and Etropo line item(s)

6. From now on, on a daily basis actual spend data from LinkedIn Ads will be automatically fetched to Etropo

Automated Spend Sync

The integration automatically syncs your advertising spend:

• Spend data is synced daily
• Support for multiple LinkedIn Ads accounts per organization
• Map to specific budget line items
• Configure sync settings individually

Actual cells on mapped line items are read-only in the budget grid — the sync owns those values, so nothing can overwrite them by hand, by paste, or by AI. Mapped line items are also left out of invoice matching and can’t have expenses added to them.

Historical Data Import

When connecting an account, you can:

• Import up to 12 months of historical data
• Choose specific date ranges for import

Budget Versions

If your budget has more than one version, your account mappings point at the line items in the active version.

When you activate a different version, Etropo re-attaches each mapping to the matching line item in the new version automatically, and confirms what moved. If a connected line item has no match in the new version, that mapping stays on the previous version and keeps syncing — Etropo tells you which line items are affected so you can re-map them from the Synced Line Items tab.

Synced spend lands in your actuals either way, and actuals are shared by every version of the budget.

Troubleshooting

Common issues and solutions:

• Sync Failures: Check your LinkedIn Ads API access and permissions
• Currency Mismatches: Review currency settings in both LinkedIn Ads and Etropo
• Connection Issues: Try disconnecting and reconnecting the integration
