User Roles

Etropo provides granular control over who can access your budget data.

Administrator Role

  • Full access to all budget data
  • Can manage users and permissions
  • Ability to edit all categories and settings

Regular User Role

  • Access limited to assigned categories
  • Cannot view total budget numbers or unassigned categories
  • Ideal for team members who only need to manage specific budget areas

Category-Based Access

Control what each team member can see:

  • Grant access to specific categories
  • Users only see data relevant to their responsibilities
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive budget information

Inviting Team Members

When adding new users to your Etropo account:

  1. Carefully select the appropriate role (Admin or User)
  2. You can set which categories they can access on a budget level

Important: Choose the admin role with caution, as administrators have unrestricted access to all budget data and settings.
